Half sea cow. Half dirt snake. Entirely questionable. The Wormatee is my mutant creation—part gentle manatee face, part long, wriggly worm body—cast in metal and dangling from a sturdy chain. It’s a talisman for those of us who don’t quite belong in the ocean or on land, but still manage to survive anyway.

Every ripple and wrinkle is hand-carved by me in my NYC studio, so it feels less like jewelry and more like the strange artifact you fished out of a haunted tidepool. It’s weird. It’s oddly graceful. And it’s here to wrap its little worm-body around your neck like the peculiar, impossible creature you are

Dimensions:
The charm measures 20mm long (3/4's of an inch) and 10mm at its widest. The chain is 1mm wide and measures 18 inches long.

Materials:
Silver Tone: White brass charm on a stainless steel rope chain.
Gold Tone: Brass charm on a gold plated, stainless steel rope chain.
Sterling Silver: Charm, necklace, and all parts of the necklace are sterling silver.

The base metals I use (Silver Tone and Gold Tone) are both 100% brass. White brass is a metallic alloy that is made of copper and zinc. There is no nickel in any of our jewelry. For more information on the metals I use, please see the FAQ's.
